Band In A Barn
Join us for an enchanting evening of music and community spirit at the much-anticipated Band in a Barn event in Somerset. This unique charity gathering brings together local talent and music enthusiasts for a night under the rustic charm of a traditional barn setting, all for a noble cause. We’re thrilled to announce that we are sponsoring this heartwarming event once again, as we continue to support our local charities which provide such wonderful services!
Band in a Barn is more than just a concert; it’s a celebration of the power of music to bring people together and make a positive impact. As the sun sets over the picturesque Somerset countryside, prepare to be swept away by an array of musical performances. With every note played, we come together to raise crucial funds for local charities that make a real difference in our community. Don’t miss this opportunity to enjoy a spectacular night of entertainment while contributing to a great cause. Join us in making this year’s Band in a Barn an unforgettable experience for everyone involved.
Sad Dad Club were a huge hit last year as our supporting act and we are really excited to be welcoming them back this year to headline for us! They will be supported by another local act, Dr Fraggle.
The three major beneficiaries for this year:
Hannah’s Willberry Wonder Pony
Promising and determined young rider, Hannah Frances established Hannah’s Willberry Wonder Pony following her devastating diagnosis of osteosarcoma at the age of just 17. Hannah wanted to raise funds for research into bone cancer and to provide equine related Willberry’s Wishes to seriously ill people of all ages or an immediate family member of someone suffering from a terminal condition. Since Hannah’s death a small team of volunteers have carried on her work.
Ben Saunders Foundation
Founded by 19 year old Ben Saunders during his own battle with cancer, the Ben Saunders Foundation raises money to support children and young adults with cancer in the UK aiming to relieve suffering and give some happiness through short break holidays at their three holiday homes in the Cotswolds. Ben Saunders Foundation was the winner of a public vote for nominations on the BIAB Facebook page.
Bath Cancer Unit Support Group
The Bath Cancer Unit Support Group is a small local charity, run entirely by volunteers, which supports the work of cancer facilities at the Royal United Hospital in Bath. BCUSG do this by raising money to purchase equipment, facilities and services that the NHS are unable to fund. The aim is to improve outcomes and the well-being of local cancer patients.
In addition to the above we will be adding funds to The Becky McPherson Fund – providing discreet, targeted support for local families bereaved by or living with terminal cancer.
We will also continue to make a range of smaller donations to local groups and good causes from our Small Grants Fund scheme which offers one off grants of up to £500.
